Why I rebuilt my site in WordPress

Every few years a personal site deserves a rebuild. This time the choice was deliberately boring: WordPress, no page builders, no plugins — a classic theme and the platform's native content model.

The interesting part was bilingualism. English and Arabic as first-class citizens with their own URLs, hreflang pairs, and a full RTL mirror — built on a taxonomy and a translation-group meta, the same architecture the mature plugins use.

The result is a site my future self can maintain in an afternoon.
